Acuvue

Acuvue® brand contact lenses are manufactured by Vistakon®, Inc., the contact lens division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc.. The brand has been in existence since its first product launch of the first disposable contact lenses launched in 1987. Acuvue® lenses are manufactured using a proprietary Stabilized Soft Molding (SSM) process. This technology virtually guarantees the reproducibility and accuracy of each of the lenses in production. Acuvue® was also the first brand to market with a 1-Day disposable lens in 1995. Since then the family of Acuvue® contact lenses has expanded to include lenses for the correction of astigmatism and presbyopia. Recent extensions of the Acuvue® family of lenses have focused on new technologies such as the Lacreon® technology which better conditions the lens surface making it even more wettable and comfortable than before.

The Acuvue family of products includes 1-Day Acuvue®, 1-Day Acuvue® Moist®, 1-Day Acuvue® for Astigmatism, 1-Day Acuvue® TruEye™, Acuvue®, Acuvue® 2®, Acuvue® Advance®, Acuvue® Advance® for Astigmatism, Acuvue® Advance® Plus, Acuvue® Bifocal, Acuvue® Oasys™, Acuvue® Oasys™ for Astigmatism, Acuvue® Oasys™ for Presbyopia and more recently the Acuvue® Vita™.
